Propose a Program
Are you interested in submitting a proposal to host a new radio show on KYRS? Our program schedule is very full, but we'd be happy to look at your proposal. Please provide the following information by email or regular postal mail:
2. Name, phone, email addresses of any co-hosts (provide full postal address) 3. The name of the proposed program (working titles are okay) 4. Length and frequency of the proposed program (example: 1 hour, weekly) 5. Today's date 6. Indicate whether you'd like to do the show live or pre-recorded (pre-recorded is more time-consuming) 7. Indicate which timeslots might work for you. (This question is moot for prerecorded shows.) Please look at the schedule and provide us with a list of 5 preferred timeslots. List them in order of your preference. Remember, we broadcast 24 hours per day. 8. A detailed description of the proposed program 9. A description of how the show would contribute to fulfilling the mission of the station For Music Proposals 11. (Suggested, but not required): A recording (either CD or tape) of sample music, something that will indicate the level of variety, juxtapositions and the nature of the work that will be presented. No voice work is required on these sample recordings.
13. Description of the show format. How much talk, interview, music, commentary? How much local, national, global content? 14. Please provide any relevant experience and two (personal or professional) references Proposals should be submitted in writing; either by email or by postal mail If a proposal is accepted, the candidate is invited to come to the station for an Interview. The candidate must successfully complete the interview and training process before the show itself is approved for broadcast. All programs and program names are the property of KYRS.
