Outreach
Get the word out about KYRS, by doing outreach, posting flyers, contacting schools, staffing tables at events.

Host a house party, ask friends to join KYRS, organize benefit concerts, etc.
Public Service Announcement Writers
Several people to help write PSAs as they come in from around the community. Good writing skills, computer with Internet/email needed. Requires a few hours per month.
Public Affairs Reseachers
Help research topics for our public affairs programs.
Grant Researcher and Writer
Work with station manager to research available grants, and write grants to obtain funding for station. This volunteer will help create a spreadsheet of grant deadlines, and help write and edit proposals and find reports. Requires several hours per week.
Record Label Contact
Create communication with record labels via letters and e-mail,
track incoming CD’s and report playlists to record labels. This
requires excellent writing and communication skills and requires about
two hours per month.
CD Reviewers
Review new music from our library, enter CD info into database
News Loaders
Download and queue up news programs.
Manual Writer/ Tech Writer
This volunteer will meet with the station manager to produce
comprehensive manuals for systems involved in station operation,
including Cool Edit, board operation, production room operation,
mini-disc recorders etc. Requires several hours per week, technical
writing experience preferred.
Film Night Promotions
Will help promote KYRS film night once per month. Post flyers around town. Requires one hour
per month.
